Making a ‘Wild Thing’ from Clay

A beautiful morning of artmaking at Glenbrook Markets

Inspired by the classic children’s book, ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak, children enthusiastically created their own monsters complete with beaks, scales, claws, magical abilities and more. Listening to them talk about their ideas as they created was a gift and a wonder! If you are curious to know more about how to encourage your child in their artistic pursuits, I invite you to email me for an article I wrote entitled, ‘Understanding Your Child’s Art’. I’d love to share it with you and encourage you to foster creativity in your child!
